Technical Fabrics & Engineering Standards

B2B Protective Cover Fabrics & Technical Specifications

Engineered outdoor cover fabrics tested for long-term climate durability, UV resistance and severe mechanical wear. Supplying international OEM brands and importers since 2011.

Sourcing commitment. The technical specification approved during pre-production sampling is strictly guaranteed in mass production. We optimise fabric choice to meet your market's climate demands — never over-specifying or over-charging.

Core Technical Fabric Comparison

Coating Engineering: PU vs PEVA vs PVC

The coating decides how the fabric behaves in cold, how it smells, and how it handles abrasion. The substrate sets the weight.

Polyurethane (PU)

Oxford fabrics

Lightweight, flexible and eco-friendly. Keeps 250 g/m² Oxford fabrics supple down to sub-zero temperatures without cold-cracking.

PEVA Backing

600D × 300D Oxford

Chlorine-free, odourless and highly resistant to low temperatures. Delivers 1,000 mmH₂O rain protection without toxic off-gassing.

PVC (14 oz Vinyl)

Heavy vinyl

Ultra-heavy 481 g/m² vinyl laminate with maximum friction and edge abrasion resistance against sharp metal edges.

Testing Standards & Quality Assurance

  • UV light fastness (Blue Wool Scale 1–8). Measured per DIN EN ISO 105-B02:2014. A rating of 7 means dark covers resist sun-bleaching far longer than off-the-shelf alternatives; the 300D fabrics rate 4–5.
  • Water resistance (hydrostatic head). Measured in mmH₂O. Ratings of 800 and 1,000 mmH₂O shed torrential rainfall. Neither is intended for standing water.
  • Service life. Reference figures assume normal outdoor use. Salt air, repeated folding and abrasion shorten them.
  • Tensile, tear and thickness. Measured on finished fabric to DIN 53354, 53363 and 53357.
  • Colourways and custom dyeing. Standard inventory in Black, Black/Beige, Khaki-Gray. Custom Pantone dyeing is available for volume runs.

Sourcing Guide: Matching Fabric to Environment

Over-specifying raises cost without raising performance. Match the fabric to where the cover actually lives.

Year-round intense outdoor exposure

Rating 7 fade resistance, 1,000 mmH₂O and a three-year reference service life.

600D × 600D PU, 250 g/m²

Balanced performance and retail cost

The same 1,000 mmH₂O rain protection at a slightly lower weight, with a two-year reference life.

600D × 300D PEVA, 255 g/m²

Lightweight or seasonal storage

Compact and cost-effective at 800 mmH₂O. Fine for seasonal use; it will not last as long in year-round sun.

300D × 300D PU, 150 g/m²

High friction and sharp edges

DIN-tested 383 N tear strength on a fully impermeable laminate, chosen for abrasion rather than sun.

14 oz heavy vinyl, 481 g/m²
